Our bodies remember…

Death is the one thing we all have in common, and it’s the one topic that is uncomfortable, considered taboo, and ultimately avoided until you no longer have a choice. Even then, the individual dying is left isolated and the family members surrounding them left with their own fear and grief pushed to the backburner so they can take care of logistics.

Historically cultures took care of their dead by anointing the body, crafting rituals and ceremonies. The community gathered together in support and the act of caring for their dead both honored that individual while also helping them process their grief. Most of us, especially in the United States, have lost these traditions, and our living bodies still carry grief with no proper outlet.

Moon+Ritual was born from the calling to get us back to our roots.

While our bodies remember, our conscious mind needs a gentle reminder of how we use to honor and grieve as a community. The modern world has changed, and when the time comes, we don’t know what our choices are. During times of crisis we don’t always have the capacity to even ask. So we go along with what is presented to us, things that we may not even want.

And that’s why we are here, not to persuade but to educate so you have information to make the choices that are best for you.

Of course we talk spirituality, it goes hand in hand with death, but it is without affiliation or judgement. Everyone is welcome here.
