Welcome to your sacred space.

The idea of death, the fear of it, haunts the human animal like nothing else.
— Ernest Becker, Cultural Anthropologist

With the outsourcing of care for our dying and dead, we as individuals are even further removed from death itself, while our thoughts and fears are pushed deep down into our psyche.

Taking care of our dying, honoring our dead, and grieving together in community is not lost. It’s in our DNA, it comes naturally to all of us. We just have to start opening the doors for discussion and create spaces to share without judgement. Whether we push it down or not, death is happening and shouldn’t we all be a part of it when it does?

And that is what we do here at Moon+Ritual. We hold the door open for discussion, education, and support without judgement or bias.

Meet Makayla

Deathworker

Makayla is a certified Death Doula and gifted Evidential Medium who is dedicated to guiding others through life’s transitions with honesty, depth, and care. From a young age, she carried an intuitive ability to connect with the unseen, a gift that evolved into her work as a medium offering healing messages and connection with loved ones who have passed.

Makayla’s work extends beyond spiritual work into education, legacy projects, and the creation of ritual and ceremony that honor both the living and the dead. She is known for her fearless yet compassionate presence, able to speak to the truths and tender topics many shy away from. With each client, she seeks not only to offer messages and support but also to empower them with tools of meaning, remembrance, and connection that endure long after the moment has passed.
